2021 Dock Day Tasks–Since there won’t be an organized dock day, please pick a task for the list at this link and indicate what you would like to do to keep our club in working order. Thanks in advance!
The activities of Mohican Sailing Club include weekly one-design sailboat racing, carry in dinners, several regional regattas and holiday picnics on Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. Typically, events begin about the first of May and continue through late October. In 2021, due to COVID-19, no organized “all-club” activities are planned before July 4, pending government guidance on when it is safe to resume normal social activity. In the interim, masking and social distancing continue to be required.
The Club’s main activity day is Sunday. People start gathering and rigging boats after Noon, with races scheduled to start at 1:30. A social hour and debrief from follows racing. The bell rings to start cooking dinner at 4:30. Dinner committee instructions can be found here. Detailed race committee instructions are found here.
MEMBERS: Please contact us about days you are willing to serve as either Dinner or Race committee (days still needing committee are marked on the calendar as either “RC” or “DC needed”. Simply click on the form found on the day you’d like to serve, or send an email to the club email account: firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll update the calendar!
Last updated 6/1/20 – June activities canceled due to government order lasting through July 1. Check back often as the schedule will change as government directives are updated.
