A member with racing experience is generally assigned as race committee chair each Sunday. The RC chair is responsible for recruitint additional committee members if needed for the safety boat or other conditions. In any case, if conditions warrant, all members should be willing to help staff both the committee and safety boats. If conditions are acceptable, the RC chair can start the race from their boat using a fixed line set in advance or a "rabbit" start.
